The Center for Packaging and Unit Load Design (CPULD) at Virginia Tech is a one-of-a-kind, interdisciplinary hub for packaging and unit load research, education and innovation. The CPULD has been serving the packaging and pallet industry since 1976. The main missions of the Center are to provide state-of-the-art training for the students of the Department of Sustainable Biomaterials, assist the packaging and pallet industries through contract testing, and develop innovative products and technologies through groundbreaking research. Two of the main achievements of the Center are the development of the Pallet Design System (PDS) for the wooden pallet industry and the development of the systems based packaging design process.
The 28th IAPRI Symposium is taking place between the 9-12 May 2017 in Lausanne, Switzerland. it is hosted jointly by Vaud University of Applied Sciences and Nestec. For details please click here.
The forthcoming IAPRI Symposium in Lausanne (9-12 May) has attracted delegates over 130 delegates from 20 countries. There are 99 papers in total out of which 69 are oral and there will be posters and keynotes included in the programme.
