Pack4Food combines the knowledge of the different academic, private and public institutions in Flanders concerned with the packaging of foods. Pack4Food will in this capacity overcome the lack of expertise and information regarding/concerning (1) packaging materials (such as the physical properties, the quality of the materials and the migration-characteristics), (2) packaging concept (such as design, physical properties, modified atmosphere packaging) and (3) the product in relation to the packaging material (keeping ability, taste deviations, color changes, drip, condensation) in an important way and facilitate innovation via the packaging.
