The Instituto Tecnológico de Aragón is a public non-profit Technology Centre whose main objective is to promote competitiveness in the industrial sector and to support the growth of business sectors by means of the development, acquisition, adaptation, transfer and diffusion of innovative technologies in a multi-agent collaborative framework. ITA is a technology centre and innovation agency. We work together with small and medium sized businesses on both private and public initiatives at regional, national and international levels. We also offer technical and consultancy services. ITA was established in 1984 to foster more effective use of the economic resources of Aragon by means of research, development and innovation. Since then it has undertaken many initiatives relating to the promotion and execution of R+D projects, together with actions to support innovation. It has initiated, coordinated and in some cases participated with businesses in carrying out research and development projects at regional, national and international levels. It has worked together with the University of Zaragoza and other organisations to meet the technology needs of business and to assist in the introduction of new technologies into the industrial sector of the region. Mission: ITA features as a key element in the innovation policy of the Government of Aragon, having as its aim the fostering of competitiveness in business and supporting the creation of new sectors. Vision: ITA seeks to be the technology reference point for the industrial and service sectors, and a key player in the technology policy of Aragon.
